With over 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate cultural differences and build stronger, more connected teams, Luiza is a trusted advisor to businesses and institutions seeking to create workplaces where people from all backgrounds can thrive. Her expertise spans both global and domestic workplace cultures, and she has guided leading organizations—including the United States Department of Defense, Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Schreiber Foods of Brazil, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Navitaire, and numerous colleges and universities—through successful strategies to enhance collaboration, communication, and employee engagement.

A Passion for Teaching and Writing

Luiza’s career began in higher education, where she taught courses on intercultural communication, and cross-cultural race relations at Iowa State University. She has taught diversity management at Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis and has held key leadership roles, including Assistant Dean at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul. There, she developed and taught an innovative course on cultural competence for the legal profession, preparing future lawyers to work effectively across diverse communities with confidence and understanding.

As a contributing writer, her articles have reached an audience of more than 286 thousand individuals. She has written about strategies for recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, the detrimental impact of microaggressions, achieving inclusive religious observance, and how biases and lack of cultural competence keep diversity out. She is also the author of Mastering Cultural Differences: Strategies for Leading a Global Workforce, where she shares actionable insights for managing culturally diverse teams and building high-performing organizations in an increasingly interconnected world.
